Nashua Man Accused Of Knife Assault, DWI, Other Charges: Cops
Francis Wool was arrested on numerous charges on Friday after police accused him of injuring another man with a knife, hit-and-run crash.

NASHUA, NH — A local man was arrested on a slew of charges based on two different incidents in the Gate City on Friday night including a knife assault and drunk driving, according to Nashua police. At just before 10 p.m., police were sent to a report of a domestic disturbance at a local residence possibly involving a knife. When patrol officers arrived, they learned that Francis Wool, 26, of Nashua, had allegedly been involved in an altercation with another man known to him before leaving the scene, according to Lt. Robert Page of the special investigations division of the Nashua Police Department.
"That adult victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital for those injuries," Page stated. "The special investigations division was notified and furthered the investigation."
The result of that investigation was four counts of first-degree assault-domestic violence, all felonies, domestic violence-simple assault, and criminal mischief being issued against Wool.

About 15 minutes later, police became involved in a brief motor vehicle chase after a hit-and-run accident. The driver – Wool – was arrested and charged with two counts of operating after certified as a habitual offender, both felonies, two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, and unregistered vehicle as well as the other charges from the domestic incident. .
Wool faces nearly 80 years in prison and fines if found guilty of the crimes, police noted. He was held and arraigned on June 10, in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
