Nashua Man Arrested At Court On Witness Tampering Charge
Cops: Denny Genao attempted to persuade a witness involved in his case not to come to Merrimack Court; he was arrested in Bedford in May.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Gate City man was arrested this week in Merrimack and charged with witness tampering. At around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers were sent to the Merrimack District Court to investigate a witness tampering allegation. The investigating officers spoke with a witness who claimed to overhear Denny Jason Genao, 31, of Broad Street in Nashua, "attempt to persuade a key witness involved in the prosecution of his case to not come to court," according to Lt. Kenneth MacLeod of the Merrimack Police Department.
The officers investigated the allegation and arrested Genao on a single count of witness tampering on June 6, 2019. He was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. Genao is due back in Merrimack District Court to answer to the charge on June 20.
Genao, according to a post on Patch, was arrested on May 9, in Bedford on a simple assault charge after being picked up by Nashua police on an out-of-town warrant. In July 2015, he was arrested by Nashua police on a warrant issued out of Hudson, according to an online log. In May 2013, he was arrested on several domestic violence charges, including felony stalking and threatening against a woman, the Nashua Telegraph noted online.
