Nashua Man Arrested By Police On Rape Charge

NASHUA, NH — A local man is facing a single special felony rape charge. Xavier Castacio, 27, of Nashua, was arrested by police on June 14, 2019, on a single count of aggravated felonious sexual assault-special felony. According to police, back on March 4, detectives received a report of a sexual assault in the Gate City.

The adult victim, a woman known to Castacio, stated she was sexually assaulted. Detectives from the special investigations division worked the case and advanced it, and obtained a warrant to arrest Castacio.

Castacio was processed and released on $200 cash or surety bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on July 19. Castacio faces up to 20 years in prison and fines.

Previously, according to reports on Patch, Castacio has been arrested on domestic violence-stalking, default of bail, harassment, simple assault and criminal mischief charges.
