At just before noon, police were sent to SNHU on Pelham Road for a report of a naked man reportedly exposing himself to students. The caller alleged that the man had been in the bathroom for more than two hours and exposed himself to numerous students.

“A witness reported he walked into the restroom when another male, who was in a bathroom stall, asked him for a paper towel,” according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “When the witness looked at the male asking for the paper towel he noticed the male had his pants down by his ankles and he was not wearing a shirt.”

Officers arrived at the scene but were unable to locate the man. They later, however, found him walking around the campus.

After identifying him, police alleged that they found out that Nzali had previous indecent exposure convictions in Massachusetts and Maryland.

In November 2011, Nzali, then a Concord resident, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, trespassing, lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct, and disorderly conduct at Merrimack College in Andover. The Lawrence Eagle-Tribune reported about a year later that Nzali was charged with aggravated rape and assault after allegedly raping another man and threatening him with a razor, while he was still reportedly involved in the court case after the Merrimack College incident.

Nzali was held at the Rockingham House of Corrections overnight and arraigned this morning. He was held on $20,000 cash only bail. If he does raise the bail, part of his release conditions will include that he not enter the property of a school, college, or university campus while on bail, according to Dolan. Nzali also has a probable cause hearing scheduled for Feb. 29.
