Nashua Man Captured After Wild Police Chase

A Nashua man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he robbed a gas station in Nashua, stole a car, struck a police officer, juked stop sticks, then crashed into a utility pole.

Maurice DeJesus, 28, faces a host of charges after leading officers on a chase that stretched from Nashua to Hudson to Groton, Mass., police said.

On Saturday at about 3:30 a.m., DeJesus—armed with a weapon—robbed the Alltown gas station on East Hollis Street, police said. On Tuesday, Nashua officers said they tracked him down and found him driving a stolen car. As officers approached the vehicle, DeJesus accelerated, striking an officer in the arm and narrowly missing another officer, police said. The officer who was hit was not hurt.
