Nashua Man Charged With Damaging Rivier University Library

NASHUA, NH — A Rivier University employee was charged with two counts of criminal mischief after Nashua police said he caused more than $1,500 in damage to tables and windows in the university's Regina Library. James Colby, 36, of Nashua was arrested on the two Class B felony charges on Thursday from the incident that occurred in June.

Nashua police said they responded to the South Main Street campus on June 19 for a report of damage in the library. Police said witnesses identified Colby as the man who did the damage. The Nashua Criminal Investigation Division investigated the report and obtained a warrant for Colby's arrest.

Colby was released on personal recognizance and scheduled for arraignment at Hillsborough Superior Court-South on Nov. 21.
