Nashua Man Faces A Dozen Domestic Violence-Related Charges
Nashua police said Pavel Novikov, 33, strangled and broke bones in the face of a woman known to him when he struck her on Friday.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man is facing a dozen domestic violence charges after Nashua police said he attacked a woman known to him on Friday. Pavel Novikov, 33, was charged with four counts of felony second-degree assault, six counts of misdemeanor assault, false imprisonment and obstructing the reporting of a crime.
Nashua police said that when they responded to a domestic violence call Friday night the Special Investigations Division determined Novikov had struck the victim in the face and strangled her three times. She suffered broken facial bones in the assault.
The Class B felony second-degree assault charges are punishable by up to seven years in prison each. The Class A misdemeanor charges are punishable by up to one year in prison each. Novikov was held pending his arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on Monday.
