Nashua Man Faces Weapons, Forgery Charges

Manchester Police say they recovered weapons and counterfeit bills from Nashua man's vehicle.

Josph Masiello, 19, of Nashua was arrested by Manchester Police on Dec. 1. He faces weapons and counterfeiting charges.

According to a narrative issued by Manchester Police:

Just before midnight Saturday Manchester Police responded to a report of a fight, possibly involving a gun.  On arrival, police met with two men, one of whom was identified as Joseph Masiello of Nashua.

Masiello reported to Officer Jonathan Makara that his friend, the passenger in his vehicle, had been involved in a dispute with several females, one of whom was suspected of stealing the friend’s iPod.  The females reportedly involved in the dispute had since left the area. 

Officer Makara discovered a BB pistol and two opened bottles of alcohol inside Masiello's vehicle. He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol.  Officer Justin Mangum also noticed a suspected counterfeit $50 bill in the vehicle.

Based on further investigation by Officer Mangum, Masiello’s vehicle was impounded and searched on a warrant and an additional $20 bill and a $50 bill, believed to be counterfeit and printed on the same sheet of paper, were recovered, along with a pair of brass knuckles. Masiello was additionally charged with forgery and possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.
