Police were called  to the area of Ledge and Willow streets at about 5:30 p.m. for a reported altercation.

Upon arrival, several people told police they heard two gunshots, and that Capo-Nieves had allegedly fired a gun during an altercation with another man, according to Nashua Police Det. Michael Moushegian.

"There were no visible injuries from the gun fire, although one adult male complained of soreness in leg due to the altercation with Capo-Nieves," Moushegian said.

Within about an hour of that investigation, police stopped a car on Gusabel Avenue seeking a "person of interest" in the earlier incident, but no arrests were made, Moushegian said.

"We have no reason to believe at this time that anyone was shot," Moushegian said.
