Nashua Mother Indicted on Charges She Broke Her Infant's Leg

A Nashua woman has been indicted on charges she broke her baby boy’s leg.

Ashley Smith, 20, of 79 Almont St., was arrested in March charged with felony first-degree assault (domestic violence). Police said she broke her 7-week-old child’s leg on March 20.

The Union Leader this week reported Smith was indicted, which means a grand jury has determined a trial is warranted.
