Nashua Police Charge Pittsfield Man In Child Sex Sting
Leonard Deane, of Main Street in Pittsfield, was charged with attempted sex assault, drug possession and computer crimes.

NASHUA, NH — A Pittsfield man is charged with attempted felonious assault and felony drug charges after being arrested as part of an investigation into the sexual exploitation of children on the internet. Nashua police have charged Leonard Deane, 59, with felony computer crimes, attempted felonious sexual assault and a subsequent offense of possession of a controlled drug.
Police said the Problem Oriented Policing Unit, with assistance from the Computer Forensics Unit, began the child sex investigation in September and that the Main Street resident of Pittsfield was identified as a suspect. He was arrested Tuesday.
Deane was held on $1,000 bail and scheduled to be arraigned in the Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on Wednesday.
