Nashua Police: Softball Coach Arrested In Child Sex Sting
Nashua police said Michael Soby arranged to have sex with a child. Soby is the softball coach at Lexington Christian Academy.

NASHUA, NH -- A high school softball coach was arrested Monday after police said he arranged to have sex with a child in Nashua. Michael Soby (pictured), 59, of Pelham, was charged with felony illegal computer use. He was released on $500 bond
Soby is the varsity softball coach for Lexington Christian Academy in Lexington, Massachusetts. Lexington Christian is a private school for students in grades 6 through 12. Soby was removed from his job, according to WHDH.
"On October 8 ... members of the Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation into a male who was communicating with a person he believed to be a child regarding sexual contact between them using an online social media website," Nashua Police Lieutenant Craig Allard said in a statement. "During the course of this investigation Michael Soby was developed as a suspect ... on October 8 ... Soby was arrested after traveling to Nashua to meet the person he believed to be a child."

Soby will be arraigned October 18 in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
