Nashua’s ‘Wine God’ Named ‘Customer Hero’ At NHLC Event
The NH Liquor Commission honored local employee Jay Hinch during the department's Wine, Spirit & Employee Awards for 2019 on April 9.

NASHUA, NH — A local New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet employee was honored this month for helping customers at the commission’s store in Nashua. Jay Hinch was named this year’s “Customer Hero” at the organization’s event on April 9. The annual event highlights liquor companies and wineries, store employees, and community initiatives.
“The employees, business partners, and brands we work with are integral to NHLC’s success, and we always look forward to honoring those who helped us exceed our sales goals at our annual event,” stated Joseph Mollica, the chairman of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission. “Those who attend our annual Wine, Spirit and Employee Awards ceremony have reached far beyond what is expected to provide exemplary service and exceptional value to each and every customer.”
Hinch is often referred to as a “wine god” by his store teammates due to his commitment to all things wine, the NHLC noted. He has spent “countless hours learning everything he can about the category.” Liquor officials said his passion for wine went beyond personal growth – since he shared his vast knowledge with others.

“This exchange of knowledge has allowed the team to provide a significantly higher level of service in the category and has made Nashua one of the premier locations in the state for wine,” according to the NHLC.
