Nashua Theft Suspect Arrested In Manchester After Standoff With Police
Justin Martin was accused of barricading himself in a Beech Street apartment Tuesday; he was charged with resisting, had 4 active warrants.

MANCHESTER, NH — A man from Manchester suspected of being involved in “high-value” thefts in Nashua last year was found and arrested on Tuesday after being accused of barricading himself inside an apartment.
Justin Martin, 36, was wanted on a felony warrant out of Nashua as well as three other active warrants before police attempted to arrest him around 9:15 a.m. Acting on a tip, Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the Manchester Police Department, said, police were sent to an apartment on Beech Street. When Martin saw the cops, he “barricaded himself inside the apartment” and refused to come out, she said.
“As a precaution,” Hamel said, “a perimeter was set up, and a negotiator tried to call Martin on the telephone. The negotiator was able to make contact with him, and after a short period of time, Martin agreed to come outside, and he was taken into custody without further incident.”

Martin was charged with resisting arrest and was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in Manchester Circuit Court.
Nashua police issued an alert on Jan. 12, asking for the public’s help finding Martin, who was accused of stealing items from Costco on the Daniel Webster Highway in November and December 2022. Police said Martin “was on bail for a previous theft offense committed in Manchester … subsequently violating the conditions of his bail.” Also, during the crime spree, “Martin was actively on probation stemming from another previous theft-related incident,” the alert stated.
