Nashua Woman Accused Of Firing Gun During Pine Street Incident

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman is accused of firing a handgun into the air during an early morning incident on Pine Street Saturday. Officers were sent to the street around 2 a.m. for a report of a disturbance involving "a large group of people" when a possible gunshot was fired, according to Lt. Daniel Mederos of the Nashua Police Department. When officers arrived, the group had dispersed.

"There was no damage or injuries reported as a result of the discharge of the firearm," Mederos said.

"Detectives furthered the investigation" and Emily Leduc, 26, of Pine Street, "was identified as the individual responsible for discharging a single round from a firearm into the air during the disturbance," Mederos added.

A warrant was issued for her arrest and she turned herself into police around 5 p.m. Monday.

Leduc faces a single felony reckless conduct charge punishable by up to seven year in prison and fines. She was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. Leduc is due in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on March 19.

Police are requesting anyone with more information about the incident to contact the department at 603-594-3500 or anonymously report information through the Crime Line at 603-589-1665.

According to reports online, Leduc was arrested in March 2011 on a criminal liability for the conduct of another-willful concealment charge when she lived in Lowell, Massachusetts, and was arrested on a domestic violence charge in March 2019 in Nashua.
