NASHUA, NH — A Gate City woman was arrested and released on cash bail after being accused of slashing a woman with a knife and then assaulting a man Monday, too, according to police.

Around 10:30 p.m., police were sent to the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center to investigate an assault report. According to Lt. Patrick Hannon of the department's criminal investigation division, a woman "sustained a laceration from a knife" at an address in the city.

During an investigation of the case, Dacey Major, 24, of Nashua, was "identified as being responsible for the assault with the knife," Hannon said. Major and the victim were known to each other, he added. Detectives also discovered another victim, a man, who claimed he was assaulted earlier in the evening Monday.
