Nashua Woman Arrested in Video Game Controller Attack

Nahiomy Velaquez was charged with assault after police said she strangled a woman, bit her, and hurled a video game controller at her head.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman was arrested Monday after police said she strangled a woman, bit her, and hurled a video game controller at her head.

Nahiomy Velaquez, 23, of 75 Pine St., was charged with several counts of domestic violence.

The victim told police Velaquez refused to let her leave an apartment, at which point a struggled started. Velaquez stragled the woman twice, bit her numerous times, threw a video game controller at her head, and pushed her. The victim was hospitalized.

Velaquez was held on $25,000 bail pending an arraignment Tuesday. She was charged with assault and false imprisonment.
