Nashua Woman Faces Felony Theft Charge
Crystal Mellen was arrested Friday after an incident at Target.

NASHUA, NH — A Gate City woman is facing a felony theft charge after an incident at a store Friday. Police were sent to Target on Amherst Street around 2:30 p.m. for a report of a shoplifting incident. They spoke with loss prevention at the store and then, identified Crystal Mellen, 33, of Cross Street, as a suspect.
The investigation eventually led to a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge against Mellen, according to Lt. Daniel Mederos of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Nashua Police Department.
"Mellen was observed by a Target loss prevention employee selecting multiple items from within the store in excess of $1,500," Mederos said. "Mellen was stopped after exiting the store without rendering payment for any of these items."
