NASHUA, NH — After more than three and a half years, a New York man has been arrested after being accused of impersonating a police officer in Nashua.

On May 10, 2021, police in Nashua received a call about a man in a non-emergency vehicle using blue lights while attempting to stop motorists. Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, said while investigating the incident, officers learned the exact vehicle had been seen at a local hospital’s ambulance bay.

“An employee at this hospital stated that a male had removed a license plate from his car and displayed an NYPD license plate,” he said. “Additionally, the employee reported that the male was wearing an NYPD sweatshirt.”
