Queen City Felon, On Probation, Racks Up Tampering, Stalking Charges

NASHUA, NH — A Queen City felon faces several charges after being accused of burglarizing a home in Hudson and violating a restraining order in Nashua.

On July 16, a woman with a protective order accused Lwaboshi Simwerayi, 26, of Manchester, of violating the order after being arrested on domestic violence-related charges in Nashua, according to Sgt. John Cinelli, a public information officer for police. The victim said he was not to have contact with her, he said.

“The victim reported that Simwerayi was contacting her against his bail conditions and also made threats to her about his previous open case,” Cinelli said.

A warrant was applied for and granted, charging him with felony tampering with witnesses and informants. Four more stalking-domestic violence charges were also filed against him.

Simwerayi was arrtested by New Hampshire State Police on July 17 on a drunken driving charge, according to reports.

WMUR-TV reported last week that Simwerayi was also arrested for burglarizing a home in Tower Road in Hudson on July 19. The mother and two children who lived in the home did not know him, according to the report. Police Tased him during the incident.

Nashua police arrested Simwerayi on Tuesday. He refused bail and was scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in Nashua District Court.

According to superior court records, Simwerayi has several priors.

In June 2020, he was arrested in Manchester on two criminal threatening and two violation of protective order-subsequent charges, all felonies. A few months later, he was arrested again in Manchester on a felony witness tampering charge. About a year later, he pleaded guilty to the two violation charges and the witness tampering count. Simwerayi received a 12-month sentence with 365 days of time served credit, another 12-month sentence suspended for two years with 43 days of time served, and a two-to-four-year sentence suspended for five years.

In September 2023, he was arrested again in Manchester on drug possession, falsifying physical evidence, and resisting arrest or detention with serious bodily injury, all felonies, as well as resisting arrest or detention. Simwerayi was also brought up on a probation violation charge based on the September 2023 arrest. He was slated to plea on that charge in April but it was dropped in May and withdrawn. Simwerayi pleaded guilty to the resisting and evidence felony charges and received a three-and-a-half to seven-year sentence, suspended for five years, and a 10-day sentence, which credited for 10 days of time served.

On Thursday, he was charged with violation of probation or parole on the drug, evidence, and resisting charges.
