State Police: Mass. Man Tries to Get NH License
Juan Carlos Romero of Salem, MA, an illegal immigrant, was arrested in Nashua, held on charges.

New Hampshire State Police allege that a man originally from the Dominican Republic tried to use fraudulent documents to obtain a state license, according to a report.
Juan Carlos Romero, 31, currently living in Salem, MA, was arrested on Dec. 11, and charged with multiple counts of tampering with public records. He was held on $15,000 cash bail pending arraignment tomorrow in Ninth Circuit District Court in Nashua.
According to Sgt. Andrew Player, a state trooper from Troop G, the unit that investigates fraudulent licensing, was alerted that Romero was allegedly attempting to obtain a license by using a false identity and fraudulent documents. While investigating the matter, state police learned that Romero was in the country illegally, having come to Massachusetts from the Dominican Republic.

Troop G troopers as well as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement went to the Department of Motor Vehicles in Nashua and arrested Romero, according to the report.
