Two Men Charged for Inside Job at Home Depot

Paul St. Pierre worked at the home goods store for eight months.

Two men were arrested for allegedly working together to steal merchandise from one of the men's employers.

Paul St. Pierre, 35, of 592 South Main Street, Nashua, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking, consolidation, a class A felony after allegedly taking more than $1,500 from Home Depot, 288 Daniel Webster Highway. St. Pierre was employed at the store from Sept. 2011 through May of 2012.

Also arrested was Anthony DeMarco,  23, of 18 Cricket Hill Drive, Amherst, who was charged with theft by unauthorized taking, a class B felony, after police say he assisted St. Pierre in taking more than $1,000 in merchandise from the store.

On May 31, 2012 at 11:45 p.m., members of the Nashua Police Department’s Uniform Division responded to the Home Depot for a reported internal theft of merchandise. Patrol officers conducted an investigation which was furthered by members of the Criminal Investigation Division which led to the arrests of St. Pierre and DeMarco.

A class A Felony is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. St. Pierre is being held on $3,500 cash or surety bail and DeMarco is being held on $2,500 cash or surety bail pending their upcoming arraignment in Nashua District Court.
