• Lake Sunapee being monitored after two recent hazardous spills (nhpr.org) — Emergency crews from Newbury and neighboring towns helped contain two small hazardous spills on Lake Sunapee Saturday, including a sunken racing boat near Georges Mills and an oily sheen in Sunapee Harbor. Officials say both incidents are under control, testing is underway, and residents are urged to report any unusual substances they see on the water.
