• 'It's emotional to look at it as it is now': Three-alarm blaze destroys Beanie's Bar & Grill in Loudon (concordmonitor.com) — Pembroke firefighters were among more than a dozen departments that helped battle the three-alarm blaze that destroyed Beanie's Bar & Grill in Loudon early Monday. The family behind Beanie's also runs Veano's Italian Kitchen in Pembroke, and they're already planning to rebuild after the popular community hangout was heavily damaged, though the fire's cause remains under investigation.
