• Off-duty police officer stabbed in incident where man found shot, killed, investigators say (mynbc5.com) — A man from Peterborough, 24-year-old Jack Hutchings, died Sunday after being shot during an altercation on Grove Street, directly across from the police station, where an off-duty Peterborough officer was also stabbed and hospitalized. State investigators say this is not being treated as an officer-involved shooting and are examining whether the shooter acted in self-defense as they work to determine the official cause and manner of death.
