• NH patents through July 26 (concordmonitor.com) — A Plymouth-based company, Poly Lining Systems, has just been granted a federal patent for a system to repair underground storage tanks without excavation, highlighting local innovation in infrastructure technology. The roundup also notes several other patents tied to New Hampshire firms and inventors, underscoring the region’s growing role in advanced engineering, medical, and clean-energy solutions.
   

• Driver seriously injured in I-93 crash in Holderness (unionleader.com) — A Plymouth man was seriously injured when his pickup left I-93 northbound near Exit 25 in Holderness and crashed into the woods Monday afternoon. Plymouth Fire & Rescue helped free the trapped driver, who was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock. State police are still investigating and are asking any additional witnesses to come forward.
   

• Man dies after medical emergency on Welch-Dickey trail (concordmonitor.com) — A 62-year-old man died Saturday after suffering a medical emergency while hiking the popular Welch-Dickey trail near Plymouth. Passing hikers began CPR and rescue teams and a National Guard helicopter responded, but he did not survive. Officials are withholding his name until family are notified.
