Aggressive Coyote Reported on Blue Heron Drive

Portsmouth police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Tuesday, May 8 to Wednesday, May 9. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday:

  • At 8:03 a.m., police arrested Rebecca Anne Maines, 37, of 9 Belknap St., Dover, and charged her with theft.
  • At 12:16 p.m., police received a report from a Kane Street resident who said he had seen a group of teens in the area the night before, and just noticed some damage to a fence belonging to an office building on the Route 1 Bypass.
  • At 2:49 p.m., a caller reported seeing kids climbing onto an abandoned building at Brewery Lane and Albany Street. Police found no sign of anyone in or around the building.
  • At 3:56 p.m., police received a report that a truck had hit a propane tank in a parking lot on Greenland Road. The propane tank was shut off, and the gas company was called. No one was injured.

  • At 2 a.m., a resident of Blue Heron Drive reported that a coyote came at him and then took off when he started to yell. The caller was concerned that the coyote was going to hurt someone.
