According to a press statement, at around 3 p.m., a state trooper working as part of the NHSP Mobile Enforcement Team stopped a Toyota Camry for motor vehicle infractions on I-95 South in Portsmouth. The vehicle was seized and a search warrant obtained on the vehicle. Troopers allegedly found more than 20 lbs. of marijuana hidden inside of the trunk of the vehicle. Both Joseph Gallagher and Jason Gallagher were arrested, processed, and released on bail. They are due in court on Dec. 12.

According to online reports, Jason Gallagher was arrested in May on warrants in his home town. In April 2014, he was convicted of eluding an officer while other driving charges were dismissed in court. Joseph Gallagher had an obstructing government administration charge dismissed at the same time. He was previously arrested, however, by game wardens in Maine for wildlife violations.
