• Suspect drives through fence, strikes plane at airport (wgal.com) — Police say a suspect trying to flee officers drove through a fence at Portsmouth International Airport and hit a parked, unoccupied small plane, prompting an active response on the airfield. Authorities haven't yet said where the pursuit began, whether anyone was injured, or if flights were disrupted, but crews remain on scene and more details are expected as the investigation continues.

• Visual Arts Review: Elsie Kagan's Uncanny Waters (artsfuse.org) — An immersive new exhibit at 3S Artspace on Vaughan Street in Portsmouth uses lush, AI-inflected paintings to explore water, climate anxiety, and our uneasy relationship with technology. The show, "the drop falls," runs through Sept. 27, inviting Seacoast residents to confront ecological collapse through unsettlingly beautiful, hyper-smooth canvases.

• Bells to ring for Portsmouth Peace Treaty Day (seacoastonline.com) — Bells across Portsmouth and nearby towns will ring at 3:47 p.m. on Sept. 5 to mark Portsmouth Peace Treaty Day, commemorating the 1905 signing that ended the Russo-Japanese War.
