Portsmouth Police: Teen arrested on domestic assault, drug charges, Rye woman arrested for DWI, and Exeter man faces bad checks charges.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — A 15-year-old girl was taken into protective custody at 7:38 p.m. on Nov. 27, 2016, after an alleged incident on Suzanne Drive. A reporting party stated that a pickup truck pulled up to the part and the end of the road and turned off its lights. The reporting party thought a drug deal might be going on. Police arrived at the scene and the driver reportedly consented to a search and it turned up negative. A girl was taken into custody and delivered home.

Mara E. Jaffarian, 24, of Richard Road in Rye, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 27, 2016, and charged with driving while intoxicated, speed, unlawful or unsafe backing of a vehicle, and yellow line violation. Police were sent to Lafayette Road and West Road after a vehicle backed into another vehicle, according to a report. Jaffarian was later arrested.

Jeremy R. Toner, 21, of Sawyer Road in Wells, ME, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. on Nov. 26, 2016, for possession of a controlled/narcotic drug with intent to distribute. Police found a vehicle on an off-ramp on Market Street with no one near it. A second vehicle pulled up and informed police that it was out of gas. A consent search was requested and a large amount of marijuana was allegedly found in the vehicle. Toner allegedly stated that he was on the cannabis registry but when the officer called state officials, the registration information could not be found on file. Toner was then arrested.

Aaron A. Smith, 28, of Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth, was arrested at 11:13 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2016, for stalking, violation of a protective order, and two counts of default or breach of bail conditions. A woman called police after alleging that a man she had a restraining order against walked past her trailer and was staring at her, according to a report. The man reportedly lives nearby. Police arrived and detained Smith. He was arrested and held.

A 16-year-old was arrested at 1:32 p.m. on Nov. 25, 2016, for domestic violence-simple assault and possession of controlled/narcotic drugs. Police were sent to Lafayette Road for a report of a woman allegedly being punched by a relative while trying to take her phone away. Officers later arrived and arrested the teen.

Anthony D. Damato, 24, of Allard Street in Exeter, was arrested at 2:09 p.m. on June 22, 2016, on three counts of issuing bad checks. He was arrested on a warrant.

Esterio De Los Santos, 26, of Ella Street in Philadelphia, PA, was arrested at 12:50 p.m. on June 23, 2016, on two counts of identity fraud. Also arrested was Ayendy Diaz, 24, of Boston Road in the Bronx, NY, for driving after revocation or suspension. They were arrested on Buckminster Way after police took a call from someone using their identity to receive FedEx packages at Griffen Road, according to police.

Zakariah Clark, 20, of Island Pond Road in Derry, was arrested 2:09 a.m. on June 24, 2016, for unlawful possession of alcohol. He was released on a summons. Police were sent to Anne Avenue for a report of an unresponsive person who was not breathing. CPR was started and the man was later transported to Derry.
