Alleged NH Meth Dealer, Conspirator Arrested After Short Pursuit
NHSP: Travis Tulo of Durham and Kyle Haggett of Exeter were arrested this morning in Portsmouth.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Two New Hampshire men were arrested this morning and held on cash bail in Portsmouth after a state trooper attempted to stop a Jeep on Maplewood Avenue for a traffic violation. The driver – Travis Tulo, 31, pictured right, of Durham – was arrested on Nov. 5, 2016, and charged with DWI-drugs-fourth offense, operating after suspension-subsequent, disobeying a police officer, and possession of controlled drug-methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Also arrested was Kyle Haggett, 21, of Exeter, who was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug-methamphetamine.

At just before 2 a.m. this morning, a state trooper attempted to stop a vehicle in Portsmouth for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle – a 2011 Jeep Patriot – allegedly refused to stop and then, a low speed motor vehicle pursuit was initiated, according to Sgt. John Hennessey of the NHSP.

“The pursuit lasted only a short time,” Hennessey alleged, "and was terminated when the driver turned into a residential driveway on Maplewood Avenue in Portsmouth, where he and his passenger were taken into custody without incident.”
During the course of this investigation, the trooper allegedly located approximately one half ounce of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Tulo was held on $10,000 cash bail in the Rockingham County Jail while Haggett was held on $5,000 cash bail. They are due to be arraigned on Nov. 7.

NHSP troopers were assisted by members of the Portsmouth Police Department, according to Hennessey.

Both Haggett and Tulo are no strangers to police.
Tulo was arrested in February 2014 in Portsmouth on two counts of second degree assault, one count of criminal threatening and one count of simple assault. A week before that arrest, he was arrested on Route 16 in Newington for DWI and contempt of court.
Also in 2014, Haggett was indicted in Rockingham County Superior Court for forgery after reportedly transferring fraudulent currency to another person, according to Fosters.com. His license was revoked in April 2015 for DWI, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.
