Alleged Seacoast Drug Dealer Arrested After Deadly Fentanyl OD
Jennifer Bonner of Newfields was arrested, held, accused of selling drugs to Newmarket's Christopher Marmat that led to his overdose death.

NEWMARKET, NH — A local woman was arrested and held without bail on Friday, after being accused of selling fentanyl to a Newmarket man who later died of an overdose, according to police. Jennifer Bonner, 37, of Old Lee Road in Newfields, was arrested on Feb. 10, 2017, for sale of controlled drugs and acts prohibited-death resulting.

According to Newmarket Police Chief Kyle True, on Jan. 10, police were sent to Packers Falls Road in Newmarket for a report of an untimely death. The man who passed away in his bedroom – Christopher Marmat – was later determined by the state’s medical examiner’s officer to have died from acute fentanyl intoxication.

Detectives along with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office began conducting interviews and issuing search warrants during the process of investigating Marmat’s death. After the ME’s report was issued, Bonner was charged. She was held without bail and is due to be arraigned on Monday in Brentwood District Court.

Bonner, according to a report on Patch, was indicted last year for issuing a bad check to a Newington car dealership in January 2016. She was arrested by Portsmouth Police in late September 2016.
Marmat was a father of three, a U.S. Army veteran, who worked at LTC Partners, according to his obituary.
