Summit Realty Partners and Paul McInnis, Inc. are pleased to announce a recent lease signing at the former Friendly’s restaurant located at 2456 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Local restaurateurs Jay McSharry and Joel Harris have leased the 3,663 square foot free standing restaurant building located at the intersection of Lafayette Road (Route One) and Constitution Avenue in Portsmouth. Jay and Joel plan to operate a full service Mexican restaurant named Vida Cantina.
The 98-seat restaurant will feature modern Mexican cuisine using the best local, seasonal and organic ingredients. The restaurant will also feature a full bar that specializes in Tequila and a quick service area that will provide a speedy lunch or dinner option to patrons. Vida means life in Spanish and Jay and Joel’s intention is to create vibrant, gathering place where everyone can enjoy life with soulful food and imaginative cocktails in an unpretentious and relaxed environment.

Vida Cantina will join several existing area businesses including Service Credit Union, Market Basket, Super Wal-Mart, McKinnon’s Market, Big Lots, a planned Cinemagic Movie Theater and many other great businesses in south Portsmouth’s thriving commercial corridor.
