Boston MedFlight is a nonprofit organization providing the highest level of critical care transport by air and ground to patients in need—regardless of their circumstances. For more than 40 years, since our founding in 1985, we have set the standard for clinical excellence, safety, and compassion in the air medical industry. Our tagline, “Your Life. Whether responding to an emergency scene or transferring a critically ill patient between hospitals, our team delivers seamless, patient-centered care during some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life. As a nonprofit, we are guided by one unwavering principle: every patient deserves access to lifesaving care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Each year, Boston MedFlight provides more than $7 million in free and unreimbursed care, ensuring no patient is ever turned away. Our clinical teams are among the most highly trained and experienced in the world, caring for patients of all ages—from premature infants to older adults—across a wide range of conditions. These include adult and pediatric trauma, complex medical emergencies, cardiac and stroke events, high-risk obstetric and neonatal care, and specialized interfacility transfers. We achieve this excellence through rigorous training and preparedness. Every clinician completes an intensive onboarding and education program that includes hospital ICU and emergency department rotations, pediatric and neonatal critical care experience, high-fidelity simulation training, advanced procedural labs, and comprehensive classroom instruction in transport medicine. Our work is supported by a state-of-the-art fleet of Airbus H145 helicopters and Freightliner mobile ICU ground vehicles, each equipped with advanced technology comparable to leading hospital ICUs.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - On Friday, June 10, and Saturday, June 11, 2016, TD Bank is distributing 20,000 new books to teachers and educators to add to their classroom and school libraries around Portsmouth. Aimed at pre-k to young adults these books are part of TD's "Banking On Books" program which is designed to help provide Title 1 schools with new books for the school year. This Portsmouth event kicks-off the third of five events across the TD footprint to give away 140,000 new books in low income school districts, in partnership with national nonprofit First Book.The Books On Wheels program will bring out more than 100 volunteers from TD Bank. More than 300 teachers are expected to attend and each will receive a $100 First Book Marketplace vouchers to purchase financial education-themed books and games for school libraries and classrooms – a value of $30,000.
