Barrington Man Arrested for Assault Charges

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, Aug. 16 through Sunday, Aug. 19.

Thursday:

  • At 10:56 a.m., police reported a theft on Deer Street after the caller said a male subject skipped out on a bill for $315.01.
  • At 1:41 p.m., police reported another theft on Deer Street after the caller said someone was stealing power to recharge their cell phone.
  • At 7:36 p.m., police reported a prowler on State Street after the caller said she was watering some flowers on her roof and noticed a male subject looking inside car windows. She said she sprayed him with the hose and he ran off towards Sheafe Street.

  • At 2:48 p.m., police arrested a Massachusetts man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Jeffrey L. Rosenspan, 30, of 93 High St. in Walpole, Mass., was wanted for all other theft.

Saturday:

  • At 1:13 a.m., police arrested a Hampton woman for drunken driving on Middle and Austin streets. Tifannie Truman, 22, of 451 Winnacunnet Road, Apt. 209, in Hampton was charged with driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident.
  • At 11:17 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Adam C. Amosun, 22, of 550 Cutts Avenue, Apt. 2, in Portsmouth was wanted for driving after revocation or suspension and unlawful or unsafe backing of a vehicle.
  • At 6:56 p.m., police reported the theft of a mailbox valued at $100 on Gosport Road.
  • At 10:04 p.m., police arrested a Barrington man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he was detained in that community. Dalton J. Carkhuff, 21, of 19 Monarch Drive in Barrington was wanted for first degree assault and second degree assault.

  • At 12:27 a.m., police arrested a Maine man for drug offenses on Edmond Avenue. Antoine William Pratt, 19, of 367 Norton Hill Road in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine was charged with prowling, default or breach of bail conditions and resisting arrest or detention.
