With Memorial Day weekend over and the summer season getting closer, it’s beach season in Seacoast New England! While the weather may not have caught up with us yet, preparations are being made for the warmer months to get those sandy shores ready! Portsmouth Patch posted an article yesterday about Beach Inspection Program sampling on the beaches, and so far the tested beaches have been deemed good to go!
So what do beach goers need to know this season?
- There are 5 State Park beaches on the Seacoast.
- The 14th Annual Master Sand Sculpting Competition is this summer at Hampton Beach! Head down to the shore and make something amazing. The competition starts on June 18th! Are you ready?
- Beach bonfires. If you are a resident in Rye, you can get a permit to have a bonfire at night! Sit back and relax with a s’more. It’s the best way to spend a summer night.
- Get your fill of adventure. Learn how to surf!
All the beaches have their own event schedules. Be sure to check them out for more information on what’s going on this summer!
