Bikers Skip Out on Parking Garage Fees

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, May 28, through Monday, May 29.

Sunday:

  • At 1:58 p.m., police reported crimimal mischie on Portsmouth Boulevard after the caller said someone key scratched her car, tried to rip off and take the sideview mirror and poured soda on her vehicle.
  • At 8:52 p.m., police reported fireworks complaints on Sims Avenue and other fireworks complaints at 10:58 p.m. on Maplewood Avenue and Fairview Drive and at 11:02 p.m. on Greenland Road.

  • At 8:09 a.m., police reported a theft on Winsor Road after the caller said her ex-boyfriend came to pick up some of belongings and some cash was missing.
  • At 12:18 p.m., police reported a walk-in theft complaint where the complainant said two pistols were stolen.
  • At 3:52 p.m., police reported a theft at the High/Hanover Parking Garage when the parking attendant said 10- to 12 motorcyclists left without paying their parking fees.
  • At 6:56 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man for motor vehicle offenses on Islington Street. Michael Ryan Hills, 28, of 21 Brewster St., Apt. 15, in Portsmouth was wanted as a fugitive from justice in Sanford, Maine and for driving after revocation or suspension.
  • At 7:52 p.m., police reported a simple assault on Sagamore Avenue after the caller said a carload of kids threw a bottle at him while he was bicycling.
