Bridge Testing to Begin on the Piscataqua River Bridge

MaineDOT will begin tests on Monday.

KITTERY, ME - The Maine Department of Transportation will begin performing bridge testing on the Piscataqua River Bridge in Kittery beginning on Monday, May 2, 2016, according to an alert from the department.

The Piscataqua River Bridge carries I-95 across the river and connects Kittery and Portsmouth.

The activity will be on the approach to the bridge on the Maine side. Travel will be restricted to two lanes both north and southbound between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The project will take place from May 2, through Thursday, May 5. Motorists are advised that slight delays are possible, according to officials.
