This method is designed to dispel myths and fears women and men hold about pregnancy, birth and parenting while also showing them what's available and what's possible. We simplify birth and view it as a natural, normal physiological process of the body while also acknowledging the beautiful spiritual transformation a woman and family will go through. The method empowers couples by examining how to navigate the medical system, how to practice informed consent and become a skilled self-advocate. The husband is taught how to show up and be the gatekeeper of this experience by understanding how labor works, what true emergencies are, and how to have comprehensive conversations with medical providers. Ultimately couples and women attending with another birth partner will establish a foundation that will promote relaxation, embodiment, choice and empowerment when it comes to the birthing process and parenting journey.
Classes are held in person every weekend for 8 weeks. Classes run an average of 50-75 minutes and light homeplay assignments will be assigned weekly which include reading, watching videos and building regular physical practices.
