This will be world-class Irish traditional music, and you will not be disappointed! New York born fiddler Brian Conway is a leading proponent of the Sligo fiddling style made famous by Michael Coleman, Martin Wynne and Andy McGann. Flynn Cohen has performed all over the world with many notable acts, and in prestigious venues: the Library of Congress and the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. “It’s Alive!” (Stuffed Animal Puppets): (Adults 2-2.5 Hrs.)
What would happen if Dr. Frankenstein were let loose in a toy shop?&nbsp; Come animate a stuffed toy by making it into a puppet! This workshop will awaken the inner child of any adult. Eric will supply an array of cleaned, used stuffed animals to dissect.&nbsp; This class is a great and unique way to teach students about hand puppets.&nbsp; In this class, each student will begin with a stuffed animal, which we will then proceed to turn into a hand puppet by opening it up, learning to pattern its mouth, and constructing &amp; installing a mouth plate.&nbsp; Miraculously, this will animate a formerly inanimate object, turning it from a mere toy into a talking puppet.
Eric Weiss is an award-winning puppet maker and Creative Community Space guest artist who has led multiple workshops and camps each year at Creative Community Space since 2023.
