Ampersand Music brings their performance, Music of the New Nation, to Langdon House in a celebration of historic music that soars with tight vocal harmonies and the driving sound of traditional instruments. This concert features songs and stories from 1730 to 1830 about the stirrings of revolution, the experiences of colonists from different walks of life, songs from soldiers on both sides of the conflict, and fiddle tune written by an ensalved person, and protest songs written at the time. This trio of musicians brings guitar, mandolin, bousouki, cello, penny whistles, hammer dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, and rich vocal harmonies to underscore great joy in sharing this music with a modern audience.

Join guides at the Langdon House before the concert and learn about the revolutionary and patriotic spirit of John Langdon, delegate to the Second Continental Congress and signer of the Constitution.

Historic New England Members $10; Nonmembers $15; Child $5.
