Pontine Theatre's 50th Season opens October 2-3-4 with 2pm performances of WALDEN by guest artist, Bill George, founding director of Bethlehem, PA's Kingfisher Theatre.  He is the recipient of a Fringe First Award for oustanding new work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. 
Pontine's 1845 Plains Schoolhouse Theatre is located in Portsmouth, NH at #1 Plains Ave.  Free parking is available onsite. Tickets may be purchased online at <a href="https://www.pontine.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">www.pontine.org</a> ($32. Adults / $29 Seniors).  Information:  603-436-6660.
This original production features Thoreau's text mounted in a frame of gestural simplicity and direct address.  It is the story of an innocent soul, troubled by his times, who retreats to the woods to understand the full meaning of life and to test the validity of the many assumptions about living that society takes for granted.  While there, he has many Adventures and natural encounters and comes to understand the ultimate frustration, joy and necessity of the individual's quest for meaning.

Howling Wolf Taqueria

Howling Wolf Taqueria is kickstarting Oktoberfest season with a dedicated “Pack Night,” the brand’s monthly event series. On September 23, Howling Wolf will team up with Samuel Adams for a beer-centric celebration of the world's largest folk festival complete with a stein-hoisting competition at 6:00pm. To the strongest beer muscles? A ceramic collectible stein, a cooler to keep brews chilled, and a $50 gift card to Howling Wolf. 
September 23 also marks the return of Howling Wolf’s Halloween season Wolf Blood Infusion ($19) – a blood-red, tequila-based cocktail served in an IV-style blood bag – as well as its Witch Blood Infusion ($8), a spooky fluorescent green nonalcoholic version.

Nationally known organist Bradley Hunter Welch (<a href="https://www.bradleyhunterwelch.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.bradleyhunterwelch.com/</a>) will be the guest musical artist at the&nbsp;New England Fall Organ Festival.
Hailed as “A world-class virtuoso” and “an expert at defining darks, lights, shadows and colors,” Bradley Hunter Welch serves Resident Organist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. 
Dr Welch holds the Doctor of Musical Arts, Master of Musical Arts, Master of Music degrees, and the Artist Diploma from Yale University He also holds the Bachelor of Music degree magna cum laude from Baylor University where he studied with the legendary Dr. Joyce Jones.
Concert admission is by donation. The concert is sponsored by the Mark Thallander Foundation
