City Of Portsmouth Hosts 3rd Annual Community Picnic And Summer Reading Kick-Off
The city of Portsmouth Recreation Department and the Portsmouth Public Library host the event at Connie Bean Center Field on June 20.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — The city of Portsmouth Recreation Department and the Portsmouth Public Library host the 3rd Annual Community Picnic and Summer Reading Program Kick-Off from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at the Connie Bean Center Field.
This event is free and open to all.
The event includes games, arts and crafts, free popcorn, DJ music, and food trucks (with food for sale).
The Recreation Department’s Camp FunStuff Counselors will meet and greet residents.
Following the Community Picnic, the Recreation Department hosts a Sock Hop in the Connie Bean Gym.
In case of rain, the event will move inside to the Connie Bean Center gym.
Also from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 20, the Recreation Department will host the 2025 Sock Hop Afternoon featuring The Gemstones & Rick Anthony as Elvis.
