Cops Seek Help with Early Morning Assault Investigation

A man sustained a concussion, other injuries after being assaulted near Fleet and Hanover streets in Portsmouth by three other men.

The Portsmouth Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding three men who were allegedly involved in an assault incident against another man on Sunday morning.

At around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 4, 2015, according to Capt. Mike Schwartz, near the intersection of Fleet and Hanover Street, a male sustained serious injuries from an assault.

“The suspects are described as one white male and two black males,” according to Schwartz. “They are all between the ages of 25-30 years of age.”

After the assault, the three suspects fled in the direction of Deer Street, according to the alert.

The victim was transported and admitted into Portsmouth Regional Hospital. The victim sustained a concussion and injuries to his back.
