
The Provident Bank’s Portsmouth Lobby for the Arts is showcasing the works of local artist Suzanne Butler Richardson. The exhibit titled “Through my Window” is on display now through the end of October at The Provident Bank’s Portsmouth office, located at 21 Daniel Street, near Market Square.
The public is invited to an Artist’s Reception honoring Suzanne Butler Richardson on Thursday, September 1, 2011, from 5:30-7:00 pm, at The Provident Bank in Portsmouth. Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Suzanne Butler Richardson earned her B.A. in art education from the University of New York at Buffalo, and pursued graduate studies in advanced painting at Hunter College in New York City. She taught art education at several schools in New York and has been a painting and drawing instructor at Stamford Museum and Nature Center. Her illustrations have been published in national magazines and her paintings and portraits have been exhibited throughout the United States and hang in numerous private collections.

The Provident Bank’s Lobby for the Arts program is an ongoing series of local art exhibits, placed in each of The Provident Bank lobbies.
