Farmington Homicide Victim ID’d by AG

​Medical examiner: James Laprade died of a gunshot wound. A woman, also allegedly shot by a juvenile, is expected to recover.

FARMINGTON, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has identified and released information about the death of a Farmington man on March 15, 2017, according to a press statement. An autopsy on James Laprade, 33, of Farmington, determined that he died due to a homicide and the cause of death was a gunshot wound, according to a press statement.

A woman, who was also injured during the incident, is expected to recover from her injuries. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.

A juvenile has been charged in the shooting death, according to officials.

“The investigation into the circumstances of Laprade’s death and the female’s injuries remains active and ongoing,” the statement noted.
