Police: UNH Bomb Threat a Hoax

The threat was reportedly made via phone and was non-specific.

UPDATE, 3 p.m.: Police have determined that a non-specific bomb threat to the University of New Hampshire campus shortly before noon today was a hoax, according to an alert sent out by the university just minutes ago.

Police urge people to remain vigilant at all times and to report any suspicious activity to 911.

The FBI and the University of New Hampshire are investigating a bomb threat made shortly before noon today.

Shortly before noon today there was a non-specific bomb threat made to the general campus via phone, according to a statement on the university website.

UNH Police said they are collaborating with the FBI and said they do not believe the threat requires evacuation. Police are actively investigating but urge those on campus to continue their regular activities and stay alert.

Any suspicious activity should be reported to police immediately at 911. Princeton University evacuated its campus earlier today after threats were made to specific buildings.

UNH Police and FBI are monitoring the situation closely. If additional information becomes available it will be posted at www.unh.edu.
