Portsmouth, NH (May 12, 2026)—FedPoint, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based benefits marketplace operator and third-party administrator, is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 FedPoint Nursing Scholarship. Selected from a field of more than 350 applicants, each awardee will receive $5,000 towards pursuit of their licensure as registered nurses (RNs) as they enter accredited academic programs this fall.

The 2026 FedPoint Nursing Scholarship recipients are:

  • Brooklynn Lamke, Pittsfield, MA (Lenox Memorial High School)
  • Tyanna Gero, Waterville, ME (Waterville Senior High School)
  • Peyton Kopp, Beford, NH (Licensed Nursing Assistant, Elliot Hospital)
  • Krysti Hall, Islesboro, ME (Caregiver and Medical Technician, Boardman Cottage)

“Nurses play a critical role in our health care system, and I am proud to see these exceptional students choose to pursue a career in helping others and making our communities healthier,” said New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte. “I wish them all the best as they go to college and I encourage them to choose to grow their careers in New Hampshire when they finish their degrees. FedPoint’s application review committee, which is comprised of nurses from its care coordination team and staff members from community partner Cornerstone VNA, was impressed by the strong work ethic, motivation and demonstrated readiness to help others that came through in the awardees’ applications, essays and recommendations.

The number of applications received this year tripled since the scholarship program’s inception in 2023, reflecting an increased regional awareness of the program as well as a growing number of individuals pursuing a career in nursing. This year, FedPoint expanded eligibility to include qualified non-high school applicants.

Two of the recipients, Kopp and Hall, already are involved with care delivery in their communities. Kopp, of Bedford, New Hampshire, works as a licensed nursing assistant (LNA) in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH, where she is responsible for monitoring patients’ health and training the next generation of LNAs. Hall, of Islesboro, Maine, supports the rehabilitation of elderly patients staying at The Boardman Cottage in Islesboro, a temporary assisted living facility.

Lamke, a Pittsfield, Mass. resident attending Lenox Memorial High School, passed the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam at the age of 17 and has been accepted to 18 accredited nursing programs located across the country. In her application essay, she attributed her interest in nursing to the care a family member once received, saying it motivated her “to commit to providing the same support for future patients and families.”

Gero, a Waterville, ME resident attending Waterville Senior High School, was also inspired to pursue nursing after witnessing the compassion and dedication of nurses she encountered in her teens. After completing 70 hours of clinical rotations at Maine Veterans’ Home, Gero earned her certified nursing assistant certification in May 2025.

“Brooklynn, Tyanna, Peyton and Krysti embody the promise and passion of a new generation of nursing professionals,” said Brian Frankenfield, Executive Sponsor of Corporate Giving at FedPoint. “Nursing is a profoundly selfless profession and we’re encouraged by the growing number of individuals choosing this path. We’re honored to support these four hardworking recipients as they continue their education and commitment to compassionate care.”

Each year, the FedPoint Nursing Scholarship awards four $5,000 scholarships during National Nurses Week, which occurs May 6-12.Eligible applicants include graduating high school seniors, adult learners and individuals seeking a career change who are entering the first year of an accredited U.S. nursing program.
