Florida Man Arrested for Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, June 27 through Thursday, June 28.

Wednesday:

• At 9:28 a.m., police reported the theft of a guitar from an unlocked vehicle on Islington Street.
• At 10:54 a.m., police charged a Portsmouth man with motor vehicle offenses on Islington Street. Francis Coleman, 67, of 221 Concord Way in Portsmouth was charged with having a false inspection or registration sticker.
• At 4:24 p.m., police reported the theft of some golf clubs on Grafton Drive.
• At 5:32 p.m., police arrested a Northwood man on Wedgewood Road. Timothy Francis. 41, of 1064 1st NH Turnpike in Northwood was charged with criminal trespass.
• At 8:35 p.m., police arrested a Plaistow man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Holiday Drive. Sean C. Senter, 31, of 331 Main St. in Plaistow was wanted on a bench warrant for endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent.

Thursday:

• At 11:50 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Christopher Aiken, 34, of 175 Woodlawn Circle in Portsmouth, was wanted for two counts of violation of a protective order and two counts of stalking.
• At 12:02 p.m., police arrested a Salem man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Joseph O'Dell, 22, of 43 Matthias St. in Salem was wanted for disorderly conduct.
• At 3:40 p.m., police reported a theft of $28 of gasoline from a Route One Bypass southbound business.
• At 5:08 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a domestic incident on Lafayette Road. William Nelson, 40, of 600 Lafayette Road was charged with second-degree assault and five counts of simple assault.
• At 9:34 p.m., police arrested a man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he was detained by Newmarket Police. Lawrence McCloskey, 49, of 426 S. McDuff Ave. in Jacksonville, Fla., was wanted for burglary and receiving stolen property.
