Four Arrested in Drug Raid, One Still on the Loose
The raid occurred Friday in the Gosling Meadows neighborhood.
Portsmouth Police arrested four people on Friday in a drug raid at Gosling Meadows.
Search warrants and arrest warrants were executed beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the Gosling Meadows neighborhood, according to police. Portsmouth detectives and members of the Seacoast Emergency Response Team executed warrants at 25 Weald Road and 32 Gosling Road. The warrants were the result of months of investigation into the sale of heroin in the neighborhood following complaints from community members.
- Gary Murray, 60, of 25 Weald Road, who was already on probation, was charged with one count of heroin sales.
- Delanae Sykes, 30, of 25 Weald Road, was charged with two counts of heroin sales.
- Gregory Watson, 45, of 25 Weald Road, was charged with five counts of heroin sales.
- Caroline Paradis, 43, of 32 Gosling Road, was charged with two counts of heroin sales and one count of possession of a controlled drug.
All four are being held on bail pending arraignment in Portsmouth District Court on Tuesday morning. Additional charges are expected.

The sale of over one gram of heroin is subject to a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a $300,000 fine, police said. Additionally, since all of the offenses are alleged to have occurred on Portsmouth Housing Authority property, the offenders may be subject to enhanced penalties.
Police said they seized evidence at both homes, as well as vehicles. Members of the Kittery, Maine Police Department and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force assisted in the investigation. The investigation was supported by the Portsmouth Housing Authority.

Also wanted in connection with this investigation is Jonathan Barrett, 23, of Lawrence, Mass. He has not been located yet, but is wanted for one count of conspiracy to sell heroin. He is described as 6'2", 180 pounds, with brown hair.
The public is encouraged to contact the Portsmouth Police Department dispatch at 603-436-2145 if they know of Barrett’s location. Tips or information on any of the alleged drug dealers can be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers as well.
